Notre équipe prend en charge les sous-stations, les systèmes FACTS (systèmes de transmission CA flexibles) et les systèmes CCHT (courant continu à haute tension). Elle offre à ses clients les activités d’installation, de mise en route, ainsi qu’un service d'assistance.

Dès son embauche, le candidat recevra une formation pratique en participant à des projets de mise en service et à des travaux de service sur le terrain avec des membres expérimentés de l'équipe des solutions de service. Une fois que le candidat aura atteint le niveau de compétence et d'expérience nécessaire, il devra exécuter les tâches qui lui seront assignées de manière autonome, avec le soutien à distance de notre équipe.

Le candidat retenu devra être disponible pour voyager jusqu'à 80 % du temps sur des sites situés en Amérique du Nord et à l'étranger pour la mise en service et d'autres activités sur site.


Responsabilités:

  • L'ingénieur de service sur le terrain sera le point de contact principal et l'expert en la matière pour la maintenance et la réparation des postes/systèmes FACTS et HVDC. L'assistance aux clients sera assurée par des communications téléphoniques et des déploiements sur le site du client.
  • L’ingénieur de service sur le terrain s'appropriera les problèmes des clients et travaillera en collaboration avec les chefs de projet de garantie pour résoudre les problèmes dans les délais impartis.
  • L'ingénieur de service sur le terrain fournira une expertise technique, une orientation et des conseils au personnel moins expérimenté. Il pourra être amené à diriger les efforts de formation des clients sur les systèmes de contrôle du poste et d'Hitachi Énergie. L'ingénieur de service sur le terrain doit comprendre les processus et les protocoles en matière de santé et de sécurité, de même qu’il doit assurer la sécurité du personnel pendant les activités de travail impliquant Hitachi Énergie.
  • L'ingénieur de service doit soutenir les efforts de vente lors des visites des sites des clients, en faisant campagne pour Hitachi Énergie et en identifiant des pistes commerciales potentielles.


Qualifications:

  • Bilinguisme (anglais, français)
  • Baccalauréat en génie électrique (de préférence en systèmes d'alimentation)
  • Membre d'une association professionnelle d'ingénieurs au Canada (ou admissible à une demande d'adhésion)
  • 5 ans d'expérience dans le domaine des sous-stations et des projets d'électrification industrielle
  • Solide connaissance des mesures de sécurité électrique, des règlements de sécurité et de la conformité
  • Connaissance pratique approfondie des produits et de l'équipement des postes électriques, ainsi que des concepts et des pratiques de l'ingénieur
  • Expérience pratique des essais de relais de protection, de disjoncteurs à haute tension, de transformateurs et d’appareillages électriques
  • Expérience du travail avec des systèmes de contrôle informatisés
  • Habiletés à travailler dans le cadre de scénarios sous haute pression et dans des délais très courts
  • La connaissance de l'électronique de puissance, des technologies SVC, SC ou HVDC constitue un atout
  • Connaissance des normes électriques (ANSI, CSA, IEC et autres)
  • Bonnes aptitudes en matière de communication, leadership, esprit d'initiative
  • Esprit critique et compétences analytiques
  • Aptitude à faire preuve de leadership et à diriger les ressources des sous-traitants et des clients, au besoin

Seize this opportunity as a Field Service Engineer at Hitachi Energy. You will contribute to the execution of the Service strategy and Service growth by focusing on delivering timely, high-quality, cost -effective service offerings, solutions, and projects for customers.


Upon hiring, the candidate will receive hands on training by participating in commissioning projects and field service jobs with experienced members of the Service Solutions team. Once the candidate reaches a necessary level of competence & experience, they will be expected to execute the tasks assigned to them autonomously with the remote support of our team. The selected candidate should be available for traveling for up to 80% of the time to sites located in North America and abroad for commissioning and other site activities.


Responsibilities:

  • The Field Service Engineer will serve as the first point of contact and subject matter expert for maintenance & repair of FACTS & HVDC stations/systems.
  • Customer support will be provided via phone communication and deployments to the customer site.
  • The Field Service Engineer will take ownership of customer issues and work collaboratively warranty project managers to resolve the issues in a timely manner.
  • The Field Service Engineer will provide technical expertise, direction, and guidance to less experienced personnel. This can include leading customer training efforts on the station & Hitachi Energy control systems.
  • The Field Service Engineer is responsible for understanding health and safety processes and protocols; and ensuring the safety of personnel during work activities involving Hitachi Energy.
  • The Service Engineer must support sales efforts during customer site visits, campaigning for Hitachi Energy and capturing potential business leads.


Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (English, French)
  • Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering (preferably in Power Systems);
  • Member of a Professional Engineer association in Canada (or eligible to apply for membership);
  • 5 years of related experience in the field of substations and industrial electrification projects;
  • Strong knowledge of electrical safety measures, safety regulations, and compliance;
  • Thorough hands-on knowledge of substation products, equipment, and engineer concepts/practices;
  • Hands on experience testing protection relays, high voltage breakers, transformers, electrical apparatus,
  • Experience working within computer-based control systems;
  • Ability to operate in time critical, high pressure scenarios;
  • Knowledge of Power Electronics, SVC, SC, or HVDC technologies is a plus;
  • Knowledge of the electrical standards (ANSI, CSA, IEC, and others);
  • Good communication, leadership, initiative;
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills;
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership and direct subcontractor & customer resources when necessary;
