Iām the founder of Simpli Scaled, a CRO & Paid Social eCommerce Growth Agency based in Calgary, Canada.
We're currently on the lookout for a Creative Strategist to join our team and work alongside a team of strategists, media buyers, and visual creators to maximize the growth opportunities for our partner 6,7 & 8 figure Shopify partner brands.
This position will be a pay-per-account position as first, and will transition to a full time position after the initial 60 days

The Creative Strategist at Simpli Scaled will be responsible for creating ad-creative ideas that align with the marketing strategy laid out by your Senior Strategist. You'll be playing a key role in turning black and white marketing strategy into visual ideas that convert at scale.
This role is not for beginners, and to be considered and excel in this role you must have a stack of evidence to back up your claims, and a proven track record outlining exactly what it takes to create ad creatives that scale brands - not just in theory, but examples of it's execution.
You should be fully capable of proving your understanding of:
- Marketing fundamentals
- Customer psychology
- Creative strategy for conversion
- Unpacking creative concepts into digestible tasks for editors
- Utilizing existing content to re-use and recycle content to make winning content.
Due to your experience in the role and understanding of how to create engaging content that also sells, you should never fall short of ideas, and be able to generate hooks that not only attract viewers, but ideal customers specifically.
YOU'RE RESOURCEFUL AND WILL DO WHATEVER IT TAKES
In summary, your purpose here will be to efficiently and effectively turn marketing strategy (and direction) into ad creative concepts that allow our team to test different angles, hooks, desires, awareness levels, and benefits to figure out the winning formula to scaling each and every brand we work with.
Advertising is a content game, and if you know content - and are able to weave in conversion strategy to create high-converting ad creatives - then this is the role you WANT to be in.
š Your Responsibilities At The Agency?
- Lead & perform in-depth market research weekly for your clients (Research guides provided)
- Work alongside your senior strategist to integrate the weekly strategy into your ad creative pipeline to maintain alignment and progression of each account.
- Write ad scripts for UGC content creators.
- Write ad-creative briefs for editors to bring your vision to life.
- Write ad copy to accompany your creative concepts.
- Analyze creative performance analytics weekly, share observations, and close feedback loops for next weeks creative testing.
- Maintain creative pipeline timelines and efficacy to ensure proper flow of creatives and stepping in when needed to alleviate any constraints.
- Communicate with editors to edit and tweak ads to suit your required tests.
- Contribute once per week to the team's overall strategy for each client.
- Complete weekly ad review to understand why/why not a certain creative performed.
- Maintain open and transparent communication with the entire team to ensure smooth teamwork.
