Key Responsibilities:

  1. Inventory Control:
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure adequate stock for production and sales.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Update inventory records in the inventory management system accurately and timely.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to optimize inventory management.
  1. Receiving:
  • Oversee the receiving process of incoming goods, verifying quantities, and inspecting the quality of items received.
  • Ensure all received goods are properly labeled and stored in designated locations.
  • Coordinate with the procurement team to resolve any discrepancies or issues with received items.
  • Maintain accurate records of all received shipments and update the inventory system accordingly.
  1. Shipping:
  • Manage the shipping process, including picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment.
  • Ensure all outgoing shipments are accurately documented and properly labeled.
  • Coordinate with carriers and logistics providers to schedule and track shipments.

  1. Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inventory transactions, including receipts, shipments, and adjustments.
  • Prepare and present regular inventory reports to management.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures related to inventory control and logistics.
  1. Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with other departments, including procurement, production, and sales, to ensure smooth inventory flow.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and logistics providers to coordinate shipments and resolve issues.
  • Provide support and training to warehouse staff on inventory control procedures and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.

Forklift operator: needs to be able to receive and ship items, as well as place items in their proper locations.

  • Ability to crate equipment for shipping
  • Proven experience in inventory control, receiving, and shipping, preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items, as required.

Working Conditions:

  • This position typically works in a warehouse environment with regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.
  • May require standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
