About You

Are you a creative and compelling scientific writer? Do you thrive when collaborating? Consider yourself a go-getter? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then this position may be for you. We are looking for a Senior Medical Writer. You will generate copy supporting both commercial and medical education programs for our healthcare clients. All copy will be targeted to healthcare professionals, not to patients or consumers. You will be writing for primarily for social media. Assignments could include social post copy, discussion guides, scripts, videos, infographics, presentation slides, etc. You will be responsible for maintaining manuscripts, references, and supporting documentation throughout the creative process while ensuring factual accuracy.

Must Haves

  • Graduate degree (e.g., MS, MD, PharmD, PhD) in a relevant scientific discipline
  • 3 – 5 years of copywriting or medical writing experience for healthcare professionals in medical communications, medical education, healthcare marketing, or pharmaceutical advertising
  • Unique portfolio that demonstrates conceptual abilities and creative writing skills in communications targeted to healthcare professionals
  • Proficiency generating content for healthcare professionals across different formats
  • Exceptional oral, written, and visual communications skills
  • Expert knowledge of AMA style
  • Experience preparing MLR submissions with annotations and references
  • Passion for health, wellness, and scientific communications
  • Track record of being organized, efficient, productive, and reliable
  • Strong work ethic and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • Experience writing for social media
  • Understands how to communicate to both patients and healthcare professionals
  • Active listener who reads a room, pivots quickly, and adapts style accordingly
  • Knowledge of US and Canadian regulatory processes and guidelines (e.g., FDA, OPDP, PAAB, ASC, Health Canada)
  • Superior editing, proofreading, and fact checking skills
  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Adobe, and EndNote
