Position: Composite Engineer

Role Summary: We are seeking a passionate and skilled Composite Engineer who shares our vision of building the most beautiful and highest-quality bicycles. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of composite materials and engineering principles and will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing composite solutions for our high-end bicycle components. This role requires a meticulous attention to detail, a commitment to excellence, and a creative mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

●     Design and develop bicycle composite structures and components that meet the highest standards of aesthetics and performance.

●     Perform simulations and analysis to ensure the structural integrity and optimal performance of composite parts.

●     Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including industrial design, production, and marketing, to ensure seamless integration of composite products.

●     Conduct rigorous testing and validation of composite materials and finished products.

●     Continuously improve composite manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and sustainability.

●     Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in composite materials and technologies.

Qualifications:

●     Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.

●     Proven experience in composite material design and engineering, preferably in the bicycle or sporting goods industry.

●     Strong knowledge of composite manufacturing processes, including lay-up, molding, and curing.

●     Hands-on experience with composite manufacturing techniques is strongly required.

●     Resin Transfer Molding (RTM) with Braided composite structures knowledge required.

●     Thermoplastic (TP) composite materials knowledge is an asset.

●     Metal 3D printing Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) experience is an asset.

●     Laboratory material testing (ISO and ASTM) experience is an asset.

●     Proficiency in CAD software (Autodesk Fusion 360) and finite element analysis (FEA) tools.

●     Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

●     Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
