Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Composite Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of composite materials and engineering principles and will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing composite solutions for our high-end bicycle components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop bicycle composite structures and components that meet the highest standards of aesthetics and performance.
  • Perform simulations and analysis to ensure the structural integrity and optimal performance of composite parts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of composite products.
  • Conduct rigorous testing and validation of composite materials and finished products.
  • Continuously improve composite manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in composite material design and engineering, preferably in the bicycle or sporting goods industry.
  • Strong knowledge of composite manufacturing processes, including lay-up, molding, and curing.
  • Hands-on experience with composite manufacturing techniques is strongly required.
  • Resin Transfer Molding (RTM) with Braided composite structures knowledge required.
  • Thermoplastic (TP) composite materials knowledge is an asset.
  • Metal 3D printing Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) experience is an asset.
  • Laboratory material testing (ISO and ASTM) experience is an asset.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (Autodesk Fusion 360) and finite element analysis (FEA) tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
