World Star Tech is a leading manufacturer of laser systems for biomedical, instrumentation, machine vision and other industrial applications. We are located in Markham, ON in a modern facility and we are currently looking for an enthusiastic, driven and resourceful Sales Engineer to become an integral part of our growing organization.

You will be responsible for all pre-sales and post-sales activities, maintaining close communication with the customer throughout the sales cycle.


What do we expect from you?


As our Sales Engineer, your top priority is to drive the revenue goals by positioning World Star Tech’s products as the best solution to achieve our customer’s vision of success.

· Eager to learn

· Conduct preliminary research on potential clients to maximize the effectiveness of the sales process

· Actively develop new sales opportunities through a variety of different marketing channels

· Analyze target markets and identify a prospective business, initiate and own sales relationships with prospects.

· Convert prospects to sales

· Assist with all media and marketing activities including writing technical articles/marketing newsletter/technical blog posts.

. Provide sales presentations and product training to customers and distributors.

· Other duties as appropriately assigned

. Work closely with our engineering team to offer customized solutions to customers.

. Provide quotations to customers, as well as follow up with customers after the sale has been closed to ensure satisfaction and meeting of specifications.

. Provide technical support to customers.


What are we looking for?


· BS degree in technical discipline

· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in technical sales

· Ability and willingness to travel

· Sales minded, enthusiastic, full of energy and highly flexible.

· A motivated self-starter who is also a great team player.

· Strong understanding of target markets, industry, critical projects and clients.

· Have the ability to convert a client’s requirement into suitable business processes.

· Excellent communication and presentation skills.

· Pro-active and capable of working independently.

· Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident

Compensation:


  • Total compensation based on experience level + commission
  • Bonuses and salary increase available to candidates that excel in the position
