Marine Dealership Controller

A very large, progressive and well known Marine dealer in Ontario, Canada that has been in business for over 25 years. They are a well-established family-owned business that provides a stable work environment and culture.Their dealership represents all the premier boat brands and they have a strong market presence with a robust sales & service business. The Opportunity:

Looking for an experienced controller. Marine/RV/Powersports or Automotive dealership accounting operations experience is a big plus. Reports directly to the owner. This is a people first organization. This is a great opportunity to join a well established dealer and make a difference Growth opportunities exist as this business grows. This position participates on the leadership team.

Reports to the owner of the entire organization


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily accounting operations
  • Participate in strategic financial decisions
  • Ability to streamline and improve dealer operations
  • Create and interpret management reports
  • Liaison with Finance companies and Banks
  • Audit and track accounting processes: A/P, A/R, PO, bank reconciliation & more
  • Collaborate with CPA for tax reporting


Qualifications:

  • 3+ year's experience in a retail dealership environment.
  • Marine/RV/Powersports dealership experience preferred.
  • 3+ year's experience in managing daily accounting operations.
  • 3+ year's experience with P&L management reporting.
  • Familiarity with Winboats dealer management systems and Quickbooks Desktop is a plus.
  • Must have organizational, communication and time management skills.
  • Self-suffiiciency is a must.
