Position Description:


Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer & Chief Operating Officer, the Director, Information Technology’s primary responsibilities are centered on the maintenance and support of current IT infrastructures. This role involves reviewing IT needs, making necessary adjustments, and adopting new technologies to ensure the organization's technological efficiency and effectiveness. The Director will manage a team of 2 staff including roles that manage Business Applications, Systems Administration and Website Maintenance and Desktop support.



Role Description:


The ideal candidate for this opportunity will have a track record that demonstrates an optimal combination of the following experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, and education:


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and Support: Oversee the ongoing maintenance and support of existing IT systems to ensure their reliability and efficiency. Our infrastructure includes Microsoft technologies such as Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Teams), Microsoft Dynamics (D365 for CRM, Business Central for accounting), Azure for our data warehouse and Power BI for business intelligence.
  • Review and Adjust: Continuously review IT needs, adjusting and adopting new technologies as required to support organizational goals.
  • Support the Adoption of New Technologies: Lead the integration and transition to new technologies, particularly AI tools, ensuring seamless adoption within the organization.
  • Support AI Adoption: Support the organization through the adoption of AI tools, ensuring these tools are effectively integrated and utilized.
  • Safety and Security of Technology Assets including monitoring for cyber-security threats


Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the stability and efficiency of IT operations and infrastructure.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure best practices.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high levels of availability and security.
  • Manage IT resources, including budgets, staffing, and vendor relationships.
  • Coordinate with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide solutions.
  • Develop and implement IT service management processes to improve response times and service quality.
  • Stay updated on the latest technology trends and assess their potential impact on the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Monitor for Cyber-Security threats


Team Management:

  • Manage and lead a team of two IT staff to ensure ongoing support of IT systems and the internal company departments.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the IT team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.



Your experience includes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technology or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years experience in an IT related role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
  • Experience in maintaining and supporting IT systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft technologies, including Office 365, Microsoft Dynamics, and Azure.
  • Ability to manage a small team and execute with an all-hands on deck mentality
  • Superior organizational skills
