Director of Information Technology

At the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Information Technology to lead our IT team and drive technological innovation.
About the RoleThe Director, Information Technology will be responsible for developing and delivering an integrated technology strategy that supports the achievement of our strategic plan and annual business objectives. This includes providing leadership, support, and investment decisions for technology-enabled strategies, planning, managing, and delivering technology-enabled strategies and transformational projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver an integrated technology strategy that aligns with our organizational goals and objectives.
- Provide leadership and support for technology-enabled strategies and projects.
- Manage the IT team to ensure optimal efficiency, effectiveness, and optimization of our technical infrastructure, systems, and day-to-day operations.
- Negotiate and manage vendor contracts and relationships.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with key technical staff in partner organizations.
- Monitor the cost and effectiveness of IT investments and initiatives.
- Drive innovation throughout the organization and IT function to achieve cost savings and increased efficiencies.
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive IT leadership experience with specific experience in leading complex, transformational IT system projects.
- Experience delivering integrated technology solutions in a multi-stakeholder and/or partnership environment.
- Confidence making strategic recommendations resulting in effective information technology decisions.
- A broad understanding of the technology, systems, and information management programs to support organizational needs in a hybrid work environment.
