About the Role
This prospector role requires a high energy individual with who can identify and capitalize on new and existing business opportunities, drive strategic initiatives, and deliver tailored solutions to meet client needs across industries such as manufacturing, oil & gas, utilities, energy, and mining.
As a key member of our team, you will focus on expanding our presence in the cybersecurity and digital transformation services in industrial markets.
About the Candidate
Our ideal candidate has the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or technical equivalent in Sales / marketing. An MBA is a plus.
- 5–7 years of business development, sales, or account management experience in OT, Cybersecurity and Digital Transformation software and/or Services is preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and selling Services in an Industrial OT context.
- Familiarity with industrial automation ecosystem.
- Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISA/IEC 62443) and OT network security best practices.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet clients, attend conferences, or industry events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed annual quota.
- In collaboration with the Marketing team and Offering Managers, help develop and execute ongoing lead generation campaigns.
- Experience with one or more formal Sales Methodologies (Miller Heiman, Target Account Selling, SPIN, MEDPICC etc.).
- Develop and demonstrate strong understanding of the customer’s business. Identify where Dexcent can add value through our Service Offerings and our 3rd party product partner relationships.
- Leverage market research to identify trends, customer needs, and emerging technology opportunities.
- Proactively generate leads, nurture client relationships, and close high-value deals.
- Manage the end-to-end sales cycle: lead qualification, solution presentations, contract negotiations, and deal closure.
- Understand client pain points and be able to communicate the value of Dexcent's Digital Transformation and Cyber Offerings.
- Present technical and business benefits of Dexcent's Digital Transformation and Cyber Offerings.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to align Offerings with client needs.
- Support proposals, RFP responses, and technical documentation with internal teams.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and key performance metrics.
- Use CRM tools to maintain client records and report progress to leadership teams.
