Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Data Management Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and management of the iMIS association management system for OHBA. This role involves helping to identify and document user needs, defining data fields, managing data integrity, optimizing data processes, defining user reports, searches, and tools, and ensuring the successful integration of the ASI iMIS system into our operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with iMIS, strong data management skills, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to meet the organization's goals.


Key Responsibilities

  • iMIS System Implementation: Lead the internal needs analysis, unique user requirements, deployment and customization of the iMIS system to meet the specific needs of OHBA, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes. Working with the ASI implementation team, service as the primary liaison between OHBA and ASI on the OHBA system installation projection
  • Data Management: Oversee data migration, cleansing, and validation processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy within the iMIS system.
  • System Optimization: Work closely with internal teams to optimize the use of iMIS, leveraging its features to enhance data reporting, member management, and engagement tracking.
  • Training and Support: Provide training to staff and stakeholders on the iMIS system, offering ongoing support to ensure effective use of the platform.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments to understand their data needs and tailor iMIS configurations to support those requirements.
  • Data Analysis: Conduct data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, providing insights that drive strategic decisions.
  • Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of the iMIS implementation process, including system configurations, workflows, and best practices.
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure that all data management practices comply with relevant regulations and industry standards, maintaining the highest levels of data security.

 

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

§ Education: Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Data Management, or a related field.

§ Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data management, with specific experience in implementing and managing iMIS systems.

§ Technical Skills: Proficiency in data management tools, SQL, and data migration processes. Experience with iMIS is required.

§ Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.

§ Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to train and support non-technical users.

§ Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on optimizing data processes and system efficiency.

§ Project Management: Experience in managing projects, including timelines, resources, and stakeholder communication.

Physical Requirements

§ Ability to work in a professional office setting, including on-site and work-from-home as provided for in policy

§ Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance

§ Must be able to travel as required as part of carrying out the duties of the position

§ Must be able to work on a computer, participate in virtual meetings and training (video)
