We are a haircare/styling start-up company based in Montreal with a lot to do and we are looking for a special someone to join are amazing team Our brand has over 209k followers online, an e-commerce platform & a vast professional distribution across North America and internationally. We are looking for a passionate and motivated marketing coordinator to assist our marketing manager with daily tasks, coordinating projects and bringing ideas to life

 

What will your day to day look like?

We’re looking the coolest marketing coordinator. Someone who loves coordinating projects, be the problem solver and be a proactive team member who is passionate about enhancing our internal process. You’re a collaborator by nature with great communication skills and you can work across departments; you’re self-professed in power point and you love being detailed oriented.

 

You will be part of the marketing team and you will mainly support the product development side of the business and product marketing projects.

 

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Marketing Coordinator to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate will assist in the development, coordination, and execution of marketing strategies and product launches for our hair care product lines. This role requires a blend of creativity, organizational skills, and an understanding of market trends to ensure successful product positioning and promotion.


What will your tasks will look like on the product development side:

 

Market Research and Analysis:

Conduct market research to identify trends, consumer preferences, and emerging technologies in the hair care industry.

Analyze competitor products and identify gaps in the market.

Product Conceptualization:

Brainstorm and generate new product ideas based on market research findings.

Collaborate with the marketing director to refine and prioritize product concepts.

Project Planning and Coordination:

Create project timelines and milestones for product development.

Coordinate with various suppliers to ensure timely execution.

Formulation and Testing:

Work closely with the R&D teams to develop product formulations based on defined specifications.

Oversee lab testing and evaluation of prototypes for efficacy, safety, and quality.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure products comply with relevant industry regulations, including ingredient restrictions, labeling requirements, and safety standards.

Cost Analysis and Budgeting:

Monitor product development costs and provide input on budget allocation for raw materials, packaging, and testing.

Prototype and Sample Management:

Coordinate the production of product samples for internal testing and consumer trials.

Evaluate and approve prototypes for further development.

Supplier Management:

Identify and liaise with suppliers for raw materials, packaging, and manufacturing services.

Packaging and Branding Collaboration:

Collaborate with the design team to coordinate product labels aligned with brand identity.

Ensure packaging materials meet industry standards and are environmentally sustainable.

Quality Control and Assurance:

Establish quality control measures and conduct regular inspections during production.

Develop and maintain product specifications and testing protocols.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain detailed records of product development progress, including formulation iterations, testing results, and supplier communications.

Generate regular reports for stakeholders to track project status and budget utilization.

Post-Launch Monitoring:

Monitor product performance in the market and gather customer feedback.

Analyze sales data and consumer reviews to identify areas for improvement.

Continuous Improvement:

Continuously research and stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.

Seek opportunities for product enhancement or expansion based on market feedback and competitive analysis.

 

What will your tasks will look like on the product marketing side:


Product Coordination:

  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing plans for new and existing hair care products.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to ensure alignment of marketing strategies with product features and benefits.
  • Manage product timelines, ensuring that key milestones are met and deadlines are adhered to.

Market Research & Analysis:

  • Conduct market research to identify consumer trends, competitive landscape, and opportunities for product differentiation.
  • Analyze sales data and marketing performance metrics to provide insights and recommendations for improvement.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with sales, design, and supply chain teams to ensure cohesive product messaging and availability.
  • Act as a liaison between the marketing department and other internal teams, ensuring smooth communication and project execution.

Administrative Support:

  • Maintain and update product information databases and marketing documentation.
  • Prepare reports and presentations as needed for internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with marketing software and tools.
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and a passion for the hair care industry.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
