Position Purpose

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Supply Chain, this self-starting, highly motivated individual is responsible for making supply chain logistics a competitive advantage for CHEP by leveraging our world class planning techniques, strong network scale, and capability to achieve service excellence for customers at a cost leadership position in the marketplace. Use our supply chain capability to develop an unassailable position in the marketplace by engaging with our internal and external customers to create unparalleled value for our employees, customers, and shareholders.

Scope

Lead a team of highly skilled supply chain professionals to develop and deploy the supply chain strategic and tactical fulfilment plan, including international flows into the USA region In addition, this person overseas the logistics transaction execution team to ensure that delivery and collection of equipment for our customers is timely, cost effective, and optimized to drive lowest total supply chain costs Owns the customer experience for 5,000+ customer touch points such as order and delivery, retailer collection, critical response requirements, and the action plans to continuously improve our service excellence Plans accordingly to accommodate growth, customer network changes, and transport availability to meet the changing needs of the customer and the business Leads transport collaboration and customer engagement to create value for customers personally for large top 25 Manufacturer and Retail customers in support of Brambles “Go to Market” solutions strategy

Major/Key Accountabilities

Ensure that CHEP Canada network scale and transport buying power creates a competitive advantage for CHEP and our customers Manage the overall logistics transactional activity, flows, direction and spend to optimize flows and achieve lowest supply chain cost for CHEP Drive local strategic initiatives aligned with the global / NA business key strategic themes that deliver cost out initiatives per annum Engage actively with customers to lead, develop, and execute the transport collaboration JBP process to optimize shared transport flows, and create value for customers and CHEP Identify a suite of opportunities to embed logistics solutions within our customers’ supply chain such as green lanes, shared carriers, TPM and reverse logistics service offerings. Own the marketing, customer engagement, solution selling, business case development and executional phases for these offerings. Translate global best practices into Canada Prepare budgets, forecasts, and ensure budgeted transport costs are achieved through a series of initiatives aimed at streamlining and optimizing our logistics costs Drive a culture of Zero Harm and proactive incident prevention with employees Develop people and advance their capability with challenging assignments and career pathing

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree CITT, PLog Desirable Qualifications: MBA

Experience

A skilled logistician with an extensive background in transportation and logistics, and a sound track record of cost management / efficiency improvement Experience in both the tactical and strategic aspects of running a large and complex network, balancing flows, and optimizing transportation moves. Proven experience developing and selling logistics solutions, engaging customers, and building Joint Business Plans and Value Creation opportunities at the senior executive level. Experience negotiating challenging contracts and getting to “yes” confidently Demonstrated capabilities to develop strong relationships, forge strategic partnerships and build loyalty with customers “Maze bright” individual with experience in a large, complex, matrixed organizational structure Experience translating global best practices and process standardization.

Skills and Knowledge

Objectif du poste

Le titulaire de ce poste, qui relève directement du directeur principal de la chaîne d’approvisionnement, est une personne autonome et motivée qui est responsable de faire de la logistique de la chaîne d’approvisionnement un avantage concurrentiel pour CHEP en se servant de techniques de planification de classe mondiale ainsi que d’une solide échelle de réseau pour offrir un excellent service à la clientèle grâce à sa position de leader de coûts sur le marché. Utiliser les capacités de notre chaîne d’approvisionnement pour développer une position incontournable sur le marché en s’engageant avec nos clients internes et externes afin de créer une valeur inégalée pour nos précieux employés, clients et actionnaires.

Portée

Diriger une équipe de professionnels hautement qualifiés de la chaîne d’approvisionnement pour développer et déployer un plan stratégique et tactique pour la chaîne d’approvisionnement du budget d’exploitation pour le Canada incluant les flux internationaux vers la région américaine. De plus, cette personne supervise l’équipe responsable des transactions logistiques afin de s’assurer de livrer et de ramasser l’équipement des clients à temps, de façon économique et optimisée pour réduire le total des coûts de la chaîne d’approvisionnement. Responsable de l’expérience de la clientèle dans plus de 5,000 points de contact avec la clientèle comme les commandes et la livraison, le ramassage auprès des détaillants et les exigences relatives aux interventions urgentes et des plans d’action pour poursuivre l’amélioration de notre excellent service. Planifie de façon à s’adapter à la croissance, aux changements de réseaux des clients et à l’accessibilité du transport dans le but de répondre aux besoins changeants des clients et de l’entreprise.

Dirige la collaboration en transport et l’engagement des clients pour créer une valeur particulière pour les 25 clients les plus importants du secteur manufacturier et du commerce de détail dans le but de soutenir la stratégie de « solutions pour le marché » de Brambles.

S’assurer que la portée du réseau et le pouvoir d’achat de transport de CHEP Canada offrent un avantage concurrentiel pour CHEP et notre clientèle Gérer l’activité transactionnelle logistique générale, le flux, la direction et les dépenses pour optimiser les flux et réduire le plus possible les coûts de la chaîne d’approvisionnement pour CHEP Mener des initiatives stratégiques locales alignées avec les thèmes stratégiques mondiaux/de l’Amérique du Nord offrant des réductions de coûts annuelles S’engager activement avec les clients afin de diriger, de développer et d’exécuter la procédure de plan commercial conjoint pour la collaboration en transport dans le but d’optimiser les flux de transport partagés, et de créer de la valeur pour les clients et CHEP Trouver des occasions d’intégration des solutions logistiques dans la chaîne d’approvisionnement de notre clientèle, telles que des voies vertes, des transporteurs partagés, des offres de service logistiques de GCP et de logistique inverse S’occuper du marketing, de l’engagement de la clientèle, des ventes de solution, des études de cas et des phases de mise en œuvre de ces offres Appliquer les meilleures pratiques mondiales au Canada Préparer des budgets, des prévisions et s’assurer de l’atteinte des budgets de coûts de transport avec une série d’initiatives visant à simplifier et à optimiser nos coûts logistiques Adopter une culture de zéro accident et de prévention proactive des incidents avec les employés Former les gens et développer leurs compétences avec des tâches motivantes et des possibilités d’avancement de carrière
