Job Description

As a key member of Grantek’s Engineering team, you will be developing real-time automation solutions from the manufacturing plant floor to the enterprise level, using a variety of programming, configuration, and design tools: PLC and PAC Programming, Operator Interface and HMI application design, SCADA design, Network design, Database design, Vision system design, Machine Safety system design, Servo motion control, Information Solution design, MES design, ERP connector development, High-level software solution design (involving C#, HTML5, .NET, SQL, VB, VBA, and more). All junior team members will enter our mentoring program, where they will work directly beside our Senior Engineer professionals.

Key-skills and interests: machine and process control, high-level programming, information solutions, database development, operational efficiency, mechatronics.

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Engineering and implementing real-time automation controls and information solutions
  • Conceptualizing during the design phase of the project life cycle
  • System programming, debugging, and testing
  • Creating documentation, including project engineering notes, project proposals, project design traceability documentation, case studies, and more
  • Commissioning new solutions at client sites; finding opportunities for improvements
  • Creating methodologies and complex problem-solving
  • Learning new technologies
  • Mentoring colleagues on your expertise and knowledge base
  • Having fun and being challenged

  • PLC Programming Platforms: Rockwell / Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, Modicon, GE, etc.

En tant que membre clé de l’équipe d’ingénierie de Grantek, vous serez appelé à développer des solutions d’automatisation en temps réels, du plancher de l’usine jusqu’aux systèmes de gestion, en utilisant une gamme très large de logiciels de programmation et d’outils : automates/PLC, interfaces homme-machine/HMI et SCADA, réseaux, bases de données, systèmes de vision, systèmes de sécurité de machines, systèmes d’asservissement de mouvements, systèmes d’information, systèmes d'exécution de la fabrication (MES), développement de connecteur pour progiciel de gestion intégrée (ERP), développement de solutions utilisant des logiciels de langage haut niveau (C#, HTML5, .NET, SQL, VB, VBA, etc). Tous les membres juniors participeront à notre programme de mentorat et auront l’occasion de travailler de très près avec un de nos professionnels en automatisation.

 

Principales compétences et intérêts : automatisation de machines et procédés, programmation de haut niveau, solutions d’information, développement de bases de données, efficacité opérationnelle, mécatronique.

 

Responsabilités principales :

· Ingénierie et mise en œuvre de solutions de contrôle d’automatisation en temps réel, et solutions d’information

  • Conceptualisation du design du cycle de vie d’un projet
  • Programmation, débogage et tests de systèmes
  • Documentations telles que notes d'ingénierie de projet, rédaction de propositions, registres de traçabilité, études de cas, et bien plus encore
  • Mise en service de nouvelles solutions chez le client; élaboration de possibilités d’amélioration
  • Création de méthodologies et résolutions de problèmes complexes
  • Apprentissage de nouvelles technologies
  • Mentorat de collègues sur votre expertise
  • Avoir du plaisir et relever des défis

Qualifications

  • Successful or upcoming completion of B.Sc. Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering Technology degree.
  • Academic or working experience with some or all the listed “Technologies Used”, in previous section.
  • Meticulous, conscientious, analytical, focused, self-starter individual, who is a quick learner.
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Have full-time access to a personal vehicle.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% throughout North America.
     
  • Posséder un baccalauréat ou un DEC, en génie ou en informatique, ou génie de la production automatisée, ou être sur le point de terminer les programmes mentionnés.

  • Posséder d’excellentes compétences en communication écrite et orale.
  • Posséder un permis de conduire valide.
  • Avoir accès à temps plein à un véhicule personnel
  • Volonté de voyager jusqu'à 30% du temps en Amérique du Nord. Aucune restriction d'entrée au Canada et aux États-Unis pour du travail parrainé par la compagnie.
