A day in the life of a PrivateChef:
· Main focus is providingtop quality meals and service to guests with private bookings.
· Cooking 4 to 6 coursegourmet menus for 5 to 25 persons in guest chalets.
· Create and discuss menuswith guests.
· Work closely with theChef, Sous Chef, and Pastry Chef.
· Prepare high-qualityfood in a timely, efficient, sanitary and consistent manner.
· Must be prepared to workas a team member in a dynamic workplace, and must follow all safety procedures.
· Maintain a high standardof cleanliness of work area and equipment.
· Follow all health andsafety regulations and control all waste.
· Set up the buffet fordinner and breakfast.
· Establish daily preplist.
· Check fridges andfreezers daily for temperature.
· End of night closingprocedures.
· Prepare hot and coldappetizers, oyster bar, vegetable and seafood prep, pate terrines & salads.
· Communicate all problemsand / or ideas to your supervisor.
· Perform all duties andresponsibilities in a timely and effective manner within company policies.
Requirements:
· University or CollegeDiploma in a Culinary field preferred.
· Certified Chefdesignation preferred.
· Food Safe Certificationand WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) required.
· Two to three years'experience in a similar position.
· Five to ten yearsindustry experience required.
· Must be able tofrequently bend and kneel, lift moderate weight, and work on feet for anextended period.
· Ability to communicateeffectively.
· Ability to workindependently and as part of a team.
· Class 5 Driver's Licenserequired.
· Be willing to work avariety of day and weekend shifts.
· Attributes include anenergetic personality, punctuality, and good grooming standards.
· Preferably speaks morethan one language (German, French, Spanish) in addition to English.
Compensation: $2,788.21 bi-weekly, plus gratuities
