Inn On The Lake has been a well established boutique hotel for over 37 years. Our cuisine has an excellent reputation among hotel guests, local clientele and those attending special events and meetings on our premises. Menu items follow a seasonal theme and give emphasis to Nova Scotia traditions.

**Summary of Duties**:

- To prepare food to our standards of presentation and consistency.

Hires, trains, coaches and develops a successful and enthusiastic kitchen team and ensures the team is cross-trained to support successful daily operations.

Manages scheduling in accordance with employment policies and budget targets.

Completes scheduled inventories, stocks and requisitions necessary supplies, supporting procedures for portion and waste controls.

Ensure all staff adhere to all health and safety regulations regarding sanitary and safe food handling guidelines at all times.

Maintain a high staff moral and a clean working environment.

A full description of duties and obligations will be discussed during the interview.

**Qualifications**:
Minimum five years of experience overseeing kitchen staff as a Chef in a casual fine dining establishment or hotel.

Experienced in executing consistent and high quality menu items in a fast paced environment

Must be able to multi-task, be well organized and set priorities for self and others.
