About Our Client:

Adecco is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Project Manager to oversee our client's ICI construction projects. Our client is Canada’s top 20 general contracting companies based out of Calgary.

Our client is a prominent construction firm dedicated to delivering excellence in commercial and institutional projects. Operating in Calgary, they are committed to innovation, sustainability, and exceeding client expectations. We are currently seeking a seasoned Project Manager to join their team and contribute to the success of our diverse and exciting projects.

Position Overview: As a Project Manager, you will take a leadership role in the planning, execution, and delivery of commercial and institutional construction projects in Calgary. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience, excellent project management skills, and a commitment to ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and execution of commercial and institutional construction projects from initiation to completion.

  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project objectives are met.

  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against these plans.

  • Oversee project financials, including budget management, cost control, and forecasting.

  • Conduct regular project meetings and communicate effectively with project stakeholders to provide updates and address any issues.

  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Implement and enforce quality control procedures to meet project specifications.

  • Mitigate risks and resolve challenges that may arise during the construction process.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment to ensure project success.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6-9 years of experience in project management within the commercial and institutional construction sector.

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.

  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.

  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.

  • Project management certification (PMP or equivalent) is preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field (preferred).
