  • Exercises supervisory control anddirection over the companys daytoday Quality Assuranceactivities.
  • Ensure employees are fully trainedon Quality Assurance subject matter including Standard Operatingprocedures.
  • Prepare and participate in allQuality related audits ensures audits are completed in withinprovided timeline and corrective actions are completed within thedeadline.
  • Complete customer surveysquestionnaires and online audits asrequired.
  • Keep all customers and internalsystems up to date.
  • Ensure calibration ofquality equipment is completed before expiration dateannually.
  • Initiates and controls inspectionpractices / procedures relating to material processed andworkmanship ensuring that incoming material and parts work inprogress and finished goods meet predetermined qualitystandards.
  • When deviations from thespecification occur makes the decision with regards to dispositionrework or rejection of parts. In cases of major importance preparesthe necessary basis for discussion with management so the mostcosteffective solution can be found ensuring that customerrequirements are met. Monitor quality performance by gatheringrelevant data and producing statisticalreports.
  • Supervise technical and managementsystem reporting.
  • Setting up and maintaincontrols documentation procedures and mappingprocess.
  • Liaise with customer s auditorsensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance withcustomer specifications.
  • Where special actionis necessary takes responsibility to ensure that all departmentsinvolved are properly informed. Provides necessary leadership inproblem solving.
  • Participates in productdevelopment and ensure quality inspection are established based onthe risk assessment.
  • Monitors customer feedbackand communicates same to Productionpersonnel.
  • Liaise with Marketing Departmentwith regards to product label artwork approval and colourapprovals.
  • Approve Bill of Materials for newitems.
  • Prepare packaging protocol forproduction floor and provide training to quality leads on newproducts.
  • LIaise with customer servicecustomers and suppliers to resolve qualityissues.
  • Handles all consumer complaints andreplacements of parts and products within the timelymanner.
  • Prepare and coordinate product testingwith customer specific laboratory and keep the test log up todate.
  • Maintains or builds up a close knowledgeof Company s supplier (source and subcontractors) capabilities byvisiting them at regular intervals; assisting suppliers whenrequired to ensure a positive relationship through supply basedevelopment.
  • Inspection and control of incomingraw materials as required.
  • Establishes theduties and responsibilities for direct report positions. Hasresponsibility for hiring evaluating disciplining and terminatingof employees within Quality Assurance in conjunction with HumanResources.
  • Ensures that Quality Department isstaffed with competent personnel in all positions and that theirabilities are identified developed and utilized. Trains instructsemployees; measures their performance and verifies their adherenceto job instructions quality system requirements and companypolicies rules and practices. Motivates and evaluates staff onregular basis.
  • Follow the guidelines and rulesas set out by company policies.
  • Treats everyonewith dignity trust and respect.
  • Completes otherduties as required by the Director ofOperations.
