The Successful Candidate will have opportunities to be involved in a variety of projects relating to:

North America wide concentrating in Ontario. Work with a wide variety of clients including large industrial/commercial facilities, developers, and municipalities/cities.  Environmental Compliance Approvals (ECA), Construction noise and vibration, highway expansion, land development, noise complaint investigations, building acoustics, and large environmental assessments

Responsibilities

Preparation of Acoustic Assessment Reports for ECA Applications and EASR Registrations Coordinate and implement field work to conduct noise emission source inventories and noise measurements Conduct noise modeling using Cadna A and TNM software Preparation of Acoustic Assessment Reports and Acoustic Audits Assist with the design of noise abatement such as silencers, barriers and wall treatment Aid senior staff in technical research Work with GHD’s corporate Air & Noise Group, consisting of over 80 engineers and scientists across North America.

Skills & Qualifications:

Recent or upcoming graduate from a Bachelor or Masters Degree program of Applied Science or Engineering in Chemical, Environmental, Civil or Mechanical Engineering programs Previous co-op experience or relevant work experience preferred, however, not a firm requirement Ability to prepare proposals in plain language addressing client requirements Attention to detail along with strong organizational skills Ability to complete work under tight deadlines when required Works well independently as well as a part of a team Willingness to travel/work on-site independently completing field work in support of GHD's Environmental Compliance business No aversion to heights along with the ability to work in high noise areas Written and verbal communication skills are critical to this position. Strong emphasis will be placed on your ability to communicate and engage in technical conversation. Strong Microsoft Office skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook Previous field experience is considered an asset Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) member or plan to become one Valid G driver’s license and access to a vehicle
