GFL Environmental is looking for a Service Writer/Advisor to join our team in Coquitlam, BC

The Service Writer/Advisor will be creating and monitoring work orders, tracking preventative maintenance repairs and scheduling repairs accordingly. They will also be responsible and perform a range of duties including but not limited to; Entering hours, Filing Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports, and ordering/picking up parts as required.

A day in the life* of a Service Writer:

Creating and Monitoring Work Orders (Ensure parts are charged out)

Planning and scheduling fleet maintenance activities

Conducting warranty administration

Completing all paperwork using the Fleet Management Software programs associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times

Performing Vehicle Maintenance including Fuel Dips, Diesel exhaust fluid, and Window Washer Fluid

Filing Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports

Checking Hours and Mileage

Entering and sending out Oil Samples

Attaching PMs to Work Orders


Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

Previous experience with trucks would be considered an asset

Strong attention to detail

Experience building and maintaining customer satisfaction with the products and services offered by the organization

Must be able to multi-task, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment

Excellent work ethic with a willingness to learn

Minimum of a High School Diploma is required
