**DESCRIPTION**
Michels Canada is looking for a Preconstruction Coordinator to join our growing Infrastructure Group You will play a crucial role in leading and managing the development of responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Qualifications (RFQs). You will support a wide array of clients across multiple sectors, including pipeline construction, utility and civil infrastructure, facilities construction, and trenchless technology. This position will be based out of our Vancouver office located in **Coquitlam, BC.**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions. Stop work in the area of an identified health or safety problem until resolved.
- Lead/assist in responses to requests for proposals, expressions of interest, and statement of qualifications.
- Develop and manage the pursuit delivery schedule.
- Maintain a high standard of document control including downloading proposal files, creating project files, and ensuring files are maintained with all relevant documents throughout the RFP process.
- Assist proposal writing for major pursuits, including executive summaries, past performance, management approaches, and resume/staffing, collaborating with estimators, technical writers, contract administrators, project managers, and external business partners.
- Lead and/or serve as a reviewer for formal reviews (pink, red, gold) or as a compliance reviewer on major pursuits.
- Lead /coordinate debrief meetings and gathering of Client feedback on proposals to support continuous improvement. Develop a plan for implementing lessons learned.
- Lead/coordinate the strategy and preparation of presentation and interview materials.
- Support the maintenance of marketing information (such as resumes and project sheets).
- Monitor potential bid opportunities through bid sites for distribution to the appropriate teams and/or managers.
- Provide a high level of customer service while acting as the single point of contact for the client to address any questions or concerns.

- Other duties as assigned.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary diploma in Engineering, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business or related discipline. An equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered.
- 2-4 years of related experience with proposals and the RFP process.
- Demonstrates strong communication abilities, through written language and interpersonal communication abilities.

**DESIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS**
- Eligible to be registered as a Professional Engineer in B.C., Alberta or Ontario
- Experience in the construction industry, preferably in pipeline construction, utility and civil infrastructure, facilities construction, and/or trenchless technology is an asset.

**LANGUAGES**
- Must be able to communicate verbally and through written language (by hand and digitally) in English.
