Résumé du poste

Gérer l’acquisition, l’exploitation et l’entretien de la flotte de véhicules lourds de l’organisation. Les responsabilités comprendront la gestion d’une équipe d’administrateurs de flotte, la tenue de registres exacts des véhicules et des activités d’entretien, et la coordination des processus d’acquisition et de remise des véhicules. En outre, le ou la titulaire du poste collaborera avec d’autres services pour optimiser les opérations de la flotte.

Description des tâches

Évaluer, acheter, louer et remiser des véhicules pour maintenir la flotte.

Développer et conserver des relations avec les vendeurs et les fournisseurs de services pour le carburant, l’entretien et d’autres services essentiels.

Administrer la couverture des polices d’assurance, négocier les ententes et participer au règlement des sinistres.

Élaborer et mettre en œuvre des calendriers d’entretien préventif pour assurer la fiabilité et la sécurité continues de tous les véhicules.

Connaissance de l’OSHA des États-Unis et des réglementations spécifiques à la flotte, et les exigences en matière de permis, d’immatriculation, de rapports.

Gérer les rapports de dépenses et les budgets (profits et pertes) de la flotte.

Effectuer régulièrement des audits de sécurité et des inspections des véhicules, des installations et de l’équipement.

Coordonner les activités de réparation et d’entretien avec les mécaniciens internes ou les fournisseurs de services externes.

Surveiller les mesures de performance de la flotte et résoudre tout problème affectant l’efficacité opérationnelle.

Compétences requises

5 à 7 ans d’expérience en gestion de flotte ou en opérations de transport.

Baccalauréat en administration des affaires, logistique ou dans un domaine connexe.

Solide connaissance des réglementations des ministères des Transports et des meilleures pratiques de l’industrie.

Excellentes compétences de leadership et de communication.

Maîtrise des logiciels de gestion de flotte.

Capacité à effectuer plusieurs tâches par ordre d’importance dans un environnement dynamique.

Attestation de mécanicien qualifié en véhicule lourd de transport un atout mais non requis.

Bilingual Regional Fleet Manager

(French/English)

The Regional Fleet Manager is responsible for managing the acquisition, operations, and maintenance of the organization's fleet of motor vehicles. Responsibilities will encompass managing a team of administrators and maintaining accurate records of vehicles and maintenance activities

Duties & Responsibilities

Evaluates, purchases, leases, and disposes of vehicles to maintain the fleet.

Develops and maintains vendor and service provider relationships for fuel, maintenance, and other essential services.

Administers insurance policy coverage, negotiates agreements, and participates in claim resolution.

Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure the ongoing reliability and safety of all vehicles.

Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and fleet-specific regulations, licensing, registration, and reporting requirements.

Manages the fleet expense reporting and budgets (P&L).

Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of vehicles, facilities, and equipment.

Coordinate repairs and maintenance activities with internal mechanics or external service providers.

Monitor fleet performance metrics and address any issues affecting operational efficiency.

Skills & Qualifications

5-7 years experience in fleet management or transportation operations.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.

Must be fluent in French and English

Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation industry best practices.

Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Proficiency in fleet management software.

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Heavy Duty Road Vehicle Mechanic’s license preferred but not required.
