The Opportunity The School of Business is currently recruiting a permanent full-time instructor to teach Human Resource courses, more specifically Strategic Management, Organizational Behaviour, Leadership and or Introductory Management.

The Role

Present courses, lesson plans, lectures, assignments, evaluations, examinations and learning activities Evaluate student progress and facilitate student achievement Show personal interest in the learners  Create a climate conducive to optimal learning Coordinate classroom delivery and assessments with faculty colleagues Include additional study materials for learners Provide ongoing support, guidance and advice to learners and potential learners Contribute in a positive way to maintain a team environment Maintain and develop contacts in appropriate industry sectors Maintain and develop relationships with academic colleagues Promote and support SAIT’s and the School of Business mission statement and academic plans

Qualifications

Minimum: Undergraduate degree in business required, masters or terminal degree preferred Depth of knowledge in business and people management, organizational behaviour and human resource management Previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level, in business and business development is required Preferred: CPHR designation Project Management certification (PMP) 5-7 years’ experience in a larger organization that makes good use of HRIS and/or information systems Experience with curriculum development is an asset Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered In addition to the above we are looking for instructors with the following attributes: Demonstrated excellence in communication skills, well-developed interpersonal and organizational skills are essential Works well in a team environment A growth mindset that is intrinsically curious Utilize creative Instructional approaches  Able to engage learners as active participants in their own learning  A strong commitment to collaboration to achieve shared goals  Able to build relationships with students, peers and colleagues  Fosters a supportive, safe environment and sense of belonging  Applies self-reflection for personal and professional growth Job Classification: INSTRUCTOR - S4001 Salary Range: $88, - $94, Number of Positions: 1 Posting End Date:  June 23, 2024View a summary of our for salaried employees.
