Purpose of the position
This position involves preparing in the kitchen, assembling the plates, serving in the dining room, cleaning the tables and washing the dishes. We are looking for a very versatile person. Specifically, your daily life with us will look like : Greet residents in the dining room and ensure they are comfortable Bring plates to tables and provide personalized service Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure good teamwork Perform other related duties Assist in ensuring resident and staff safety in the dinning room by enforcing compliance with health and safety standards Contribute to the teams efforts to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dinning room(s) Ensure the kitchen and equipment are kept clean according to established hygiene and cleanliness standards Wash dishes after each meal and store in appropriate places Clean kitchen equipment after each use (pots, stove, mixers etc.) Assemble plates of food Clean kitchen equipment Manning the warm table, help residences with their choices Supervise the preparation of cold meals and desserts Peel and cut vegetables for meals Be required to participate in the serving of meals and/or light housework when required
