What you’ll do

Thecollaborates closely with peers as a member of CTR’s leadership team, supporting the delivery of CTR’s Connected Retail Strategy through operational excellence. The AVP plays a crucial role in driving effective, scalable, and resilient processes and tools across key functions including Line Review Operations, Merch Systems, and our Training Center of Excellence for Merchandise & Supply Chain Learning. The AVP owns the overall strategic and capability development roadmap for Merchandise Operations, and advocates for operational sustainment of transformational initiatives that impact Merch & Store processes. The successful incumbent is a highly collaborative, process-oriented, and results oriented leader that demonstrates innovative, breakthrough thinking to achieve CTR’s ambitious growth agenda.

Accountable for the effective running of CTR’s Merchandise Operational processes and systems, with a pulse on KPIs across financial, operational and customer metrics.

Establish CTR’s Merchandise Operations planning and measurement framework to achieve Merch Excellence; owns delivery against our Assortment Management framework, maintains and governs operational SOPs, identifies gaps/issues/risks and champions solutions to improve/optimize operational performance.

Manage and evolve CTR Assortment Execution (i.e. Assortment Operations, Line Review, Product Management) to effectively deliver financial KPIs and new assortment information to our Dealer partners on time and with high quality. ​

Establish CTR’s Training Center of Excellence for Merchandising and Supply Chain, using modern training and learning approaches to design, implement, and evaluate education programs that support the company's goals and objectives.

Manage and maintain CTR’s Merch Data Systems, while overseeing the planning, implementation and change management for CTR’s future roadmap (i.e. data transformation, legacy modernization).

Deliver results and unlock team efficiency through exploration of automation and/or continues process improvement opportunities that support enhanced business outcomes.

Oversee incident management for core merchandise processes, working closely with IT partners for the achievement of service levels and strong communication protocols.

Support key capability projects throughout the project lifecycle, including the efficient rollout/training for end users and achievement of operational sustainment. ​

Build and/or develop a high-performing team that can lead and drive outcomes.

What you bring

8-10 years of experience in the retail industry; in merchandising, operations, or as a consumer-packaged goods vendor; ideally merchandising operations/process innovation experience

Experience leading technology and/or automation projects; knowledgeable in agile methodology

At least 5 years leadership/management experience with a strong propensity for team building, coaching and mentoring

Proven ability to develop, manage and motivate a top calibre team around a compelling vision

Highly effective relationship management skills with a track record of developing, selling and executing programs collaboratively

Thorough understanding of the business, growth, change management, systems and process management

Strong financial acumen, with a strategy and analytical mindset

Superb collaboration, joint problem solving and influencing skills

Strong track record of driving results and performance transformation

University degree preferred
