A Bit About You: You are attracted to mission and value-based brands as a way to make an impact You believe in the values of sustainability + ethical living You have a passion for growth, are eager to learn and grow as a marketer You love being a part of a high performing marketing team You are open to being agile, to test + learn when you don’t know the answer and to pivot direction with new information You possess the ability to show hustle, be scrappy at times and find creative solutions You thrive in a fast-paced environment + aren’t afraid to get your hands a bit dirty You pay attention to the details and are a great problem solver when fires are burning You are a people person that enjoys collaborative team sessions and aren’t intimidated by discussions with senior leadership Key Responsibilities: Development of Innovation roadmap to deliver long term sales and profit growth Lead innovation through an internal stage gate process Conducts research as needed to gain consumer insights and assess innovation opportunities. Develops product concepts to facilitate the volume and profit growth in support of annual objectives. Develops forecasts and budgets for new products and participates in the overall company innovation stage gate, commercial team and budgeting process. Leads commercialization of select innovation projects. Manages the Innovation and marketing programs on time and within budget Leads cross-functional teams effectively to achieve stated objectives Works collaboratively with the Brand Marketing team Prepares Sales and Trade presentations to proactively engage partners in strategic innovation projects Be an effective leader of the Marketing Team and create effective working relationships across internal and external departments Evaluates market reactions to product launches, making timely adjustments to strategies and plans (including formulations, packaging and merchandising approaches) to meet changing market and competitive conditions. Remains current on our industry and general marketing knowledge. Keeps Management informed on developments. Carries out other related duties as required. Qualifications / Behaviors: 5-10 years in marketing, with experience in lifestyle and values-led brands an asset; CPG and stage gate experience as assets Bachelor’s degree in related field (marketing, business) If this position suits your skills and experience, we want to talk to you
