Calgary, Canada Equation Staffing Solutions Full time
Our client is a leader in Industrial Equipment and is looking to hire a Human Resource Advisor to join their team right away. This position involves running the daily functions of the Human Resources department including employee relations, recruitment, full-cycle payroll, and benefits administration. If you have experience that prepares you well for this position, submit your resume for immediate review

Responsibilities:
  • Full cycle recruitment including creating job descriptions, job postings, conducting interviews, and completing reference checks.
  • Preparation of new hire packages and onboarding.
  • Payroll administration, and budget scheduling.
  • Administration and management of the company’s benefit program.
  • Ensuring all confidential employee files are maintained and processed according to provincial standards.
  • Ensuring company processes are compliant with applicable policies, laws, and audit requirements.
  • Preparation and submission of ROEs, and employee terminations.
  • Yearend Reconciliations, WCB, and Tax preparation as required.
  • Job creation and management, including comparative compensation analysis.
  • Respond to employee relations issues such as employee complaints, and lead workplace investigations when necessary.
  • Contribute to team building, organizing staff events, and other company social events.
  • Conduct research and provide analysis in a variety of HR disciplines as requested.
  • Other HR and admin duties as required.
Requirements:          
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or other related discipline.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Previous experience with payroll systems and ERP systems.
  • Working knowledge of multi-provincial payroll legislation, employment and tax rules.
  • Ability to manage and resolve sensitive issues with a high degree of confidentiality, empathy and discretion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy along with good Microsoft office skills.
