Scope of the Position


The position involves providing operational excellence in branch customer service and safety while supporting and assisting with data entry and information maintenance required for special projects. 


Major Responsibilities

Enter and track orders to ensure delivery times are met. Identify solutions to issues affecting branch service, efficiency, and productivity. Ensure continuous improvement in administrative tasks performance, including scorecard items, customer returns, credits processing, vendor returns, yearly returns, freight claims, and customer shipping errors tracking and resolution. Maintain vendor relations and share customer information as required. Monitor billing for accuracy and timeliness. Manage Branch Occupational Health and Safety Program, ensuring implementation and compliance by staff and customers. Conduct monthly OH&S meetings, keep the OH&S board up to date, post minutes, and maintain valid first aid and forklift certifications. Train associates on all system and branch operation tasks, approved branch processes, policies and procedures, and customer service standards. Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counting and ensure products are properly bin located.  Approve drawings and monitor billing to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Perform other duties as assigned to support branch operations and project coordination.

Education & Training

High School Diploma. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Formalized Occupational Health & Safety training preferred  Working knowledge of WISL freight system and SX system.

Experience

2-3 years recent, related experience Previous experience in administration, Customer Service, Operation and Health and Safety Support.
