Propak Systems Ltd. is an established leader in engineering, fabrication, and construction of gas compression and processing facilities for the energy industry. We are currently seeking Machinists (2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice) to join our Fabrication Shops in Airdrie, AB.

Key Responsibilities:

Set-up and operate precision metal cutting and grinding machines such as lathes, mills, drills and grinders to make and repair products Study specifications, charts, drawings or sample parts to determine the machining operation to be performed. Calculate dimensions and tolerances, and prepare working sketches if necessary. Measure and mark metal and other materials. Set-up and operate tools, which may be computer numerically controlled, to perform precision machining operations. Fit parts to mechanisms and verify dimensions. 

Qualifications:

Be a registered apprentice at either2nd or 3rd year level 2+ years of directly related work experience CNC Programming experience is an asset.  Motivated and willing to learn. As a condition of employment, employees are required, upon hire, to sign a Drug-Free Workplace Agreement, a Conflict of Interest Agreement and Confidentiality and Invention Agreement.
