La fonction principale de l'ingénieur commercial PCRO est de contribuer au processus de vente des lignes de produits attribuées aux clients ciblés dans les zones de marché clés, en étroite collaboration avec les principales parties prenantes. Le titulaire du poste sera chargé de soutenir les objectifs de vente assignés, conformément aux attentes d'un ingénieur commercial professionnel expérimenté pour les catégories de produits assignées, en fournissant des consultations techniques approfondies et étendues afin de sensibiliser et d'éduquer les clients sur la valeur du portefeuille d'offres d'Alstom. Le titulaire de ce poste sera chargé de gérer tous les aspects de la relation client liés à la connaissance des produits, en fournissant une assistance commerciale et technique aux distributeurs, aux clients, aux utilisateurs finaux et aux rédacteurs de cahiers des charges. Il devra assurer l'interface avec les équipes d'ingénieurs pluridisciplinaires et l'équipe commerciale afin de combler le fossé technique et d'assurer la présence de l'ingénierie lors des réunions avec les clients.

L'ingénieur commercial travaillera en collaboration avec le service des ventes internes et les autres membres de l'équipe, ainsi qu'avec les canaux de vente de nos fournisseurs et la direction, afin d'atteindre ou de dépasser les quotas de vente mensuels avec la marge brute appropriée, tout en augmentant la satisfaction des clients. L'ingénieur commercial travaillera avec l'équipe d'ingénierie PCRO pour aider à rationaliser les stratégies de marketing de l'équipe commerciale afin d'avoir le meilleur impact possible sur le client. En vendant à tous les niveaux, il devra comprendre les applications et les stratégies des clients et collaborer avec l'équipe afin de proposer les meilleures solutions pour les besoins des clients.

Ce que vous ferez dans le cadre de cette fonction :

Fournir une interprétation précise et opportune de la planification et des spécifications, des devis et de l'assistance technique. Communiquer avec les clients, l'entrepôt et les usines pour faciliter la résolution des problèmes. Recueillir, analyser et utiliser les informations commerciales concernant les produits concurrents, les besoins, les préférences et les habitudes d'achat des clients. Examiner et interpréter les besoins des clients sur les plans et les spécifications Fournir des solutions rapides aux problèmes des clients en utilisant les ressources disponibles ou en créant une procédure de résolution. Connaître les conditions du marché et les activités de la concurrence et y réagir, tout en communiquant ces informations aux divisions chargées des produits. Participer aux appels d'offres, aux présentations et aux devis aux clients en utilisant les directives de l'entreprise en matière de prix et de livraison, tout en faisant preuve d'un bon jugement commercial. Posséder le « Engineering Sales Deck » et le matériel de marketing relatif aux services d'ingénierie. Coordonner, aligner et responsabiliser les différentes équipes produits d'Alstom afin d'aider à la résolution des problèmes dans les meilleurs délais et avec un bon rapport coût-efficacité.

Qualifications requises (de base) :

Baccalauréat d'un établissement accrédité en génie mécanique, industriel ou électrique. Au moins trois (3) ans d'expérience dans le secteur des transports et plus particulièrement dans l'industrie ferroviaire. Au moins deux (2) ans dans un rôle d'ingénieur commercial dans un environnement technique. Vous devez être en mesure de travailler aux États-Unis sans parrainage d'entreprise, aujourd'hui et à l'avenir.

Posséder d'excellentes aptitudes à la communication Connaissance des clients clés dans les territoires de vente Compétences en matière de gestion du temps, de présentation et de planification Connaissance approfondie des capacités d'Alstom et de ses services et capacité à assembler des offres standard pour répondre aux besoins des clients avec une supervision interne occasionnelle. Comprendre le processus de vente en utilisant les techniques de vente, ce qui se traduit par de bonnes relations avec les clients. Connaissance des tendances du marché, des enjeux du secteur et de la concurrence. Compétences interpersonnelles et travail d'équipe efficaces Capacité à mobiliser le personnel de soutien pour répondre aux besoins des clients et de l'organisation.

Position Overview:

The primary function of the PCRO Sales Engineer is to contribute to the process of selling assigned product lines to targeted customers in key market areas in close collaboration with key stakeholders. This position will be responsible to support assigned sales goals consistent with the expectations of a thoroughly seasoned professional sales engineer for the assigned product categories by providing deep and broad technical consultation to drive customer awareness and education on the value of Alstom’s portfolio of offerings. This position will have the responsibility to manage all product knowledge aspects of the customer relationship, providing sales and technical assistance with distributors, customers, end users and specifiers. It will require interfacing with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and the sales team to help bridge the technical gap and provide engineering presence for the customer meetings.


The Sales Engineer will work cooperatively with inside sales and other members of the team, as well as with our supplier’s sales channels and management to meet or exceed monthly sales quotas at the appropriate gross margin while increasing customer satisfaction. The Sales Engineering will work with PCRO Engineering team to help streamline the marketing strategies for Sales Team to best impact the customer. Selling at all levels, they will have to understand the customer's applications and strategies and collaborate with the team to propose the best solutions for their customers’ requirements.


What you will be doing in this role:

Provide accurate and timely planning and specification interpretation, quotation and technical support Communicate with customers, warehouse and plants to facilitate problem resolution Collect, analyze and utilize market intelligence regarding competitive products, customer needs, preferences and buying habits Review and interpret customer needs on plans and specifications Provide facility timely solutions to customer issues by utilizing available resources or creating procedure for resolution Awareness of and responsiveness to market conditions and competitive activities while communicating such information to product divisions Participate in bids calls, presentations and quotations to customers using company price and delivery guidelines while using sound business judgment Ownership of the Engineering Sales Deck and marketing material related to Services Engineering. Coordinate, align and make accountable various Alstom product teams to assist with issue solution in a timely and cost effect manner



Required (Basic) Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering Minimum three (3) years of experience within the transportation sector and rail industry specifically Minimum two (2) years in a Sales engineering role in a technical environment Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
