What role you will play in our team

 

Imperial is currently looking for an Instrument and Electrical Engineering student to join our team for a specific term. You will apply and develop engineering skills in a team environment, working with experienced technical, maintenance and process personnel to improve production capability, equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency.

What you will do

 

  • Providing instrument and electrical technical support for ongoing operations, shutdown maintenance work and new installations
  • Support the development of solutions to maintain and improve operations
  • Support Planning, designing and execution of capital and maintenance projects in the instrument and electrical disciplines
  • Interaction with engineering contractors, electricians, instrument technicians and operations.
About you

 

Skills and Qualifications
 

  • Must have completed 2nd or 3rd year in BSc - Electrical Engineering

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
 

  • Commitment to safety on and off the job
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required for the role
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic, results-oriented individuals who are energized by working with people and by achieving superior results
  • Work term: Full time

 

Start Date: May 2025

 

Work Term: 12 months (applicants seeking 4, 8 or 16-month terms will also be considered. Please state your desired duration of work term).

 

Location: Sarnia, ON
