Job Responsibilities
- Installing, calibrating, testing, troubleshooting and maintenance of instrumentation, including pressure, and temperature transmitters, gas detectors, control valves, meters, and analyzers;
- Installing, testing and troubleshooting electrical control circuits, motor circuits, Variable Frequency Drives, etc.; (600V - 2160KV)
- Troubleshooting of electrical, instrumentation, and process control equipment;
- Maintaining instrumentation and mechanical items such as control valves, turbine meters and other associated field equipment;
- Providing technical input and scope development for operations, projects and turnarounds;
- Performing scheduled preventive maintenance, and completing test and maintenance reports;
- Completing all written and electronic records (i.e. work orders, calibration sheets, time cards, material requests) required to document the work in progress and as it is completed;
- Consulting manufacturer's manuals, circuit diagrams and blueprints to determine tests and maintenance procedures;
- Complying with Occupational Health & Safety Regulations as well as facility standards and procedures; and
- Providing on-call support during non-business hours
Qualifications
- A valid Electrician (Construction and Maintenance - 309A) license and be eligible to work in Ontario would be an asset
- Must possess an Instrumentation and Control Engineering diploma and/or have Instrumentation and Control Technician - 447A license.
- Knowledge of associated instrumentation software communication systems, and the implementation and maintenance of those systems would be an asset;
- Must have valid class 5 drivers’ license;
- Compliance with the company’s Drug & Alcohol program is mandatory;
- Permanent residency within 100 KM of the facility is required;
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are required.
- Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks;
- Compliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A testing; and
- Compliance with the Company’s requirement to be clean shaven to ensure proper fit of emergency PPE.
