Develop and identify Shopper Insights, providing the perspective of the shopper: how they think, behave, and make decisions. Utilize customer thought leadership to drive a competitive advantage. Deliver cross functional thought leadership across the commercial organization, and support Sales & Customer Marketing functions to ensure utilization of key insights, learnings, and best practices to drive overall SCJ business performance. Primary Responsibilities:

Project lead for Shopper Insight research for assigned categories.

Be an expert and champion of the shopper for designated categories. Work with third party agency/research partners to acquire, analyze and interpret Shopper Research, resulting in actional business building solutions. Be forward looking, identifying new partners/methodologies to uncover new insights. Lead national narrative to drive category growth & shopper conversion, while linking insights to drive channel/customer strategies. Builds the CA-US relationship to share/optimize learnings on assigned categories. Actively participate in team building and best practice sharing to increase team effectiveness

Internal Sales & Customer Marketing Support:

Category Champion role for assigned categories to share insights and cascade learnings internally, bringing an objective balance to decision making, grounded in data and expertise. Supports Sales in presentations to showcase expertise and shopper knowledge, providing best practice category principles for promotion, assortment, and merchandising solutions to drive overall sales and profits. Supports Customer Marketing with National Release to Sales presentations. Utilize shelf management software and category expertise to assess gaps in fair share of shelf, providing best in class shelf placement for new items and existing products, with an objective of securing and expanding distribution. Utilize shopper panel data to assess changes in shopping behaviour to drive category solutions and provide recommendations for change. Stays current on global and competitive initiatives.

Required Skills and Education:

University Degree (essential requirement), preferably in Business or Commerce 4 years of FMCG or other relevant sales/marketing experience Experience using a NIQ and/or Numerator data – Strong technical skills and ability to manipulate and analyze data Proficient skills in JDA Space Planning preferred but not required Prior experience in qualitative research and higher-level quantitative analyses is an asset Proficiency in working with cross-functional teams to achieve business results Ability to develop and execute fact-based presentations Priority Setting is critical - Ability to address multiple projects and handle accordingly
