Vertex Resource Group Ltd. is currently hiring Project Based Semi Vac Operators to support our upcoming turnaround projects. We are looking for motivated, dedicated and skilled individuals with industry experience.

Position Title: Project Based Semi Vac Operator

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

Class 1 licencewith a clean commercial driver abstract 1+ year experience operating Semi or Combo Vac  Mandatory safety tickets required: CSTS 20, H2S Alive, First Aid, Fall Protection, Confined Space & CSO Experience operating semi vacs, combo units, hydro vacs, body vacs, sour seal, & tankers Minimum 1-year oilfield experience

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive and operate all equipment in a safe and professional manner Ability to demonstrate competent operation of equipment Participate in safety program by ensuring all company and customer policies & procedures are adhered to Attendance and participation in toolbox talks and safety meetings, FLRA’s, hazard assessment development, pre-trips/post-trips Willing to work as a team player with coworkers, contractors, and customers Ensure customer and client satisfaction by always providing excellent customer service Follow all local, provincial and federal compliance regulations and rules Ensure all safety certificate training are up to date Perform maintenance on units to ensure cleanliness and efficient operation Complete and maintain all required paperwork and documentation properly within set timelines; this includes daily logs, waste manifests etc.  Workload and schedules may vary depending on emergency situations and routine work that can be punctuated by very busy periods; this is a 24-hour business and the hours can be erratic Travel is required and driving will occur in all weather conditions to various customer and/or Vertex worksites Ability to lift heavy tools and parts Must be able to work at heights of more than 6 feet and confined spaces when required
