Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full cycle processing of accounts payable and receivable.

  • Maintain accurate records and complete HST/RST reporting and submission.

  • Process inventory and vehicle sales, warranty sales, and prepare daily deposits.

  • Review payable expenses, obtain authorization, and prepare cheques for payment.

  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operation of accounting and financial functions.

  • Maintain accurate records for AP/AR, perform bank reconciliations, and prepare financial statements.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing analysis to support business decisions.

  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.

  • Implement and maintain internal control systems to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial information.

  • Monitor and control costs to maximize profitability.

  • Work closely with sales and service departments to ensure financial policies and procedures are followed.

  • Monitor sales and service transactions to ensure accurate and timely recording.

  • Provide financial insights and support to the sales and service teams.

  • Ensure compliance with all dealership policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of accounting and dealership management systems.

  • Provide training and support to accounting staff and other departments on financial processes and systems.

  • Coordinate and support external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

  • Manage relationships with vendors and customers to ensure timely payments and collections.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of dealership experience, preferably in the OEM space.

  • Experience with CDK, One-Eighty, and PBS systems is highly desirable.

  • Ability to work independently and effectively communicate with management.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
