How You’ll Make an Impact:

Position Overview
The Estates Specialist Bilingual role is a position within PIIO in Client Services. This role is primarily responsible for ensuring the timely, accurate and efficient administration of Estate cases in a compliant manner. The role will entail managing Estate documentations, updating client files and records, and responding to daily inquiries by phone or e-mail.

Responsibilities

Provide timely, accurate and efficient processing of Estate items in accordance with pre-established SLA’s (Service Level Agreements) Hold themselves accountable to Fidelity’s clients by correctly applying knowledge of Fidelity’s products, policies, and procedures in the resolution of Estate items Assist the Estates and Specialized Services TM and PIIO Manager with review and resolution of escalated Estate items and related tax issues from team members, clients, and business partner (Internal and External). Offer creative solution on Estate issues, thus adding value to the client experience and creating a positive “Moment of Truth” Continue to foster a culture focused on compliance, regulatory practices, and risk mitigation by staying informed of legislative and regulatory requirements, and applying them in the resolution of Estates items. Contribute to an environment of continuous improvement by participating in Estate and tax related projects. Also participate in other projects as assigned. Work with appropriate business partners to ensure accurate tax reporting of Estate transactions

What We Are Looking For:

Experience

Minimum 2 years related work experience in the mutual fund, financial services or a related industry (required) Minimum 1-year experience working in Estate administration and familiarity with Estate legislation (asset)

Education:

College degree (3-year program) or equivalent work experience Bilingualism in English and French (written & verbal) is required.

Designations, Licenses, or Accreditations

Successful completion of Canadian Investment Funds Course (IFIC) or the Canadian (asset) Securities Course (CSI) Successful completion of the Estate and Trust Administration course (CSI) (asset)

Works equally well independently and as part of a team, with minimum supervision. Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong knowledge of our products, as well as the Canadian Mutual Funds industry Strong French communication skills (written and verbal) (applicable to the bilingual role only)
