Reporting to the Manager, Estate, the Estate Specialist position will be responsible for all developments and implementations related to the operation of estate and death settlement.
- Ensuring all information and documentation is received in good order for processing.
- Timely and accurate processing of various financial transactions and inquiries from advisors and clients according to the established service level agreements
- Investigate on complications, escalations and inquiries regarding death settlement and specific cases.
- As well as assisting in implementing new developments in our current operation.
- Manage the entire process of the client death settlement administration accurately in a timely manner in accordance to the service standards
- Communicate, collaborate and coordinate with different stakeholders (internal teams, clients, advisors, trustees, legal, other financial institutions, CRA, government agencies, etc.) to deliver customized solutions
- Provide in depth knowledge of the death settlements, probate, wavier of probate, as well as tax reporting responsibilities for both registered and non-registered accounts.
- Responds proactively to relevant inquiries from other parties.
- Monitors client satisfaction, assesses the scope of issues, and collaborates with other business units to implement resolutions.
- Assists in the development and implementation of the team’s operation and procedure.
- Assists with presentations and communications to internal and external audience, providing explanation, help, and training.
- Performing ad-hoc duties as assigned.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, monitor regulatory changes, and best practices related to estate settlements.
- Assess the impact of regulatory changes on the organization, and implement necessary updates to ensure ongoing compliance.
