The Senior TL SMEs report Reports directly to the Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) and the Content Team Lead and will be responsible for the day-to-day program operations, as required.

Exercises expert communications to build trust and working relationships within AAC’s established communications protocol Manages the Target Language (TL) development of materials used throughout the course Manages the TL SME Team in the development of all TL content Ensures SME Team members are trained in all aspects of activity development Ensures that deadlines for the development of TL materials are met Oversees quality assurance processes and acts as a level of QA control to ensure that all developed TL materials are proofread, peer-reviewed, appropriate and complete Acts as a liaison between the SME Team and the assigned ISD/Content Team Lead Reports progress to ISD/Content Team Lead, as well as noting any issues or deficiencies Exercises expert communication skills to manage conflict within program and escalate pressing issues to the assigned ISD/Content Team Lead Meets with ISD/Content Team Lead as needed Coordinates content reviews based on customer feedback Assists ISD/Content Team Lead/QA Team Lead in the resolution of content-based corrections during storyboard and Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) review cycles Assists in tracking content-based corrections Other content-based tasking, as required Meetings/discussions with proponent personnel regarding TL content Responsible for other content-related tasks to include Management of authentic material lists Proofreading TL content, activities, translations, audio segments, graphics, etc.

Payrate: $84,988 Annually

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Native-level TL Fluency High Degree of English Fluency 5 years’ experience in curriculum development in the target language and two (2) years recent (within the last three years) experience in advanced foreign language curriculum development. Thorough Understanding of Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) Levels Experience in online language learning EN TL Translation Experience Understanding of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel)

Preferred Qualifications:

BA/BS or equivalent experience in field relevant to assigned program Understanding of modern instructional design techniques
