Damovo has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, IT-minded individual to join our Canadian-based team on a fixed-term 12-month contract as IT Support Engineer (m/f/d). This is an on-site role based in Mississauga, ON.
This role provides exposure to a broad range of IT related tasks including the monitoring of a queue of support tickets, acting as a point of contact for our clients and troubleshooting software, hardware, laptop and PC issues.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator who is highly organized with solid technical skills and experience in building relationships with clients. The ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment both independently and as part of a team is critical. Extended working hours are required when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing first line support and maintenance of supplied hardware including laptops, desktops, video conferencing and repairing defective hardware
- Addressing user tickets and updating assigned support service requests ensuring adherence to end clients SLA’s
- Communicating with end users in a highly professional and timely manner
- Supporting on-site services to visually verify the state of a device and performing necessary tasks to rectify incidents under the guidance of the remote team
- Managing and administering local inventories of stock and asset management
- Other ad-hoc duties as required
- 1-2 years’ experience in a similar IT support role
- Experience working with the Microsoft suite of products is essential
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field is preferred
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Strong customer service focus, ability to deal with complex client issues in an effective manner - Excellent problem solving and technical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work to SLA’s in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated and uses initiative to see tasks through to completion
- Ability to prioritize workload effectively
- Prior experience with ticketing systems and service desk management tools
- Candidates must be authorized to work in Canada
