SUMMARY: 

 

Assists the Store Manager in providing day to day management of the store including growing sales, staffing, merchandising, expense control, providing a safe environment for employees and customers and delivering a superior shopping experience for the customer. Also, the Assistant Store Manager operates the store within established Company policy, government legislation and collective agreements. 

 

 

RESPONSABILITIES :

 

- Assists the Store Manager to achieve or exceed weekly, period and fiscal year store goals and objectives, including sales, profit, margin targets, shrink targets and labour targets.  

- Works with the Store Manager to implement various merchandising programs, procedures and processes designed to maximize the operational efficiencies and profitability of the store.  

- Works with Department Managers to establish productivity goals and operational standards. Ensures merchandise is ordered and displayed according to company planograms.  

- Ensures the store is maintained in accordance with all health and safety regulations as established by the company and regulatory authorities.  

- Provides leadership by hiring, training, directing and developing a staff that is customer focused. Ensures that all actions and events portray a customer friendly shopping environment 

- Actively utilize new technology initiatives ensuring own and staff proficiency 

- Maintains a pulse on competitive activity in the local market area and providing recommendations to Operations to overcome competitive disadvantages 

- Actively participates in store based initiatives designed to enhance community involvement and enhance the store's image as a supporter of community activities 

- Creates and maintains a strong working relationship with vendors and union business representatives 

- Ensures the store is maintained in accordance with all health and safety regulations as established by the company and regulatory authorities 

 

 

Qualifications :

 

- Bilingualism is essential (French/English)

- College or University education 

- 3 to 5 years progressive management experience 

- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills 

- Good business acumen 

- Strong communication and organizational skills 

- Strong leadership skills 

- Strong time management skills

 

 

RÉSUMÉ:

 

Aide le directeur du magasin à assurer la gestion quotidienne du magasin, y compris l'augmentation des ventes, du personnel, du marchandisage, du contrôle des dépenses, la fourniture d'un environnement sûr pour les employés et les clients et la fourniture d'une expérience d'achat supérieure pour le client. De plus, le directeur adjoint du magasin exploite le magasin dans le cadre de la politique établie de l'entreprise, de la législation gouvernementale et des conventions collectives.

 

 

RESPONSABILITÉS :

 

- Aide le directeur du magasin à atteindre ou à dépasser les buts et objectifs hebdomadaires, de période et d'exercice financier du magasin, y compris les objectifs de vente, de profit, de marge, les objectifs de réduction et les objectifs de main-d'œuvre.

- Travaille avec le directeur du magasin pour mettre en œuvre divers programmes, procédures et processus de marchandisage conçus pour maximiser l'efficacité opérationnelle et la rentabilité du magasin.

- Travaille avec les gestionnaires de département pour établir des objectifs de productivité et des normes opérationnelles. S'assure que la marchandise est commandée et affichée selon les planogrammes de l'entreprise.

- S'assure que le magasin est entretenu conformément à toutes les réglementations en matière de santé et de sécurité établies par l'entreprise et les autorités réglementaires.

- Fournit un leadership en embauchant, en formant, en dirigeant et en développant un personnel axé sur le client. S'assure que toutes les actions et tous les événements dépeignent un environnement d'achat convivial pour le client

- Utiliser activement les nouvelles initiatives technologiques pour assurer les compétences de son propre personnel et de son personnel

- Maintient une impulsion sur l'activité concurrentielle dans la zone du marché local et fournit des recommandations aux opérations pour surmonter les désavantages concurrentiels

- Participe activement à des initiatives en magasin conçues pour améliorer la participation communautaire et améliorer l'image du magasin en tant que partisan des activités communautaires

- Crée et maintient une solide relation de travail avec les fournisseurs et les représentants syndicaux des entreprises

- S'assure que le magasin est entretenu conformément à toutes les réglementations en matière de santé et de sécurité établies par l'entreprise et les autorités réglementaires

 

 

Qualifications requises :

 

- Le bilinguisme est essentiel (français/anglais)

- Études collégiales ou universitaires

- 3 à 5 ans d'expérience en gestion progressive

- Compétences intermédiaires de Microsoft Office

- Bon sens des affaires

- Solides compétences en communication et en organisation

- Solides compétences en leadership

- Solides compétences en gestion du temps
