Our small, privately owned services company is seeking an AR Specialist to join their team near the Mount Forest area. Reporting into the Accounting Manager, this individual will be responsible for all Accounts Receivable and Collections duties for clients across the province. They will get the chance to analyze existing processes and procedures and look for areas of improvement and increased efficiency.

Please note: this position requires you to be in Ontario and in the local area, as this is an on-site position.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and deposit customer payments, security deposits and online payments.
  • Responsible for processing direct deposits and customer refunds along with declined credit card journals
  • Contact customers regarding NSF cheques, declined credit cards, and returned pre-authorized payments to get updated and valid information
  • Collect on customers unpaid accounts to ensure timely payment of outstanding balances and create payment arrangements if needed
  • Process service orders required to suspend, disconnect or reconnect customer accounts around non-payment
  • Prepare and submit the monthly customer uncollectable file to the credit bureau.
  • Assist with processing equipment returns on the customer accounts
  • Responsible for the daily and monthly reconciliations relating to Accounts Receivable and invoice miscellaneous receivables
  • Act as a back up for other positions in the Finance Team as required

  • 2+ years of AR and Collections experience
  • Ability to build processes
