About the work environment:

Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home; 2-3 days a week in office. Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm with flexibility around start and end times.

We are hiring for this position out of our Toronto and Vancouver offices. Successful candidates who apply outside of these areas will be expected to relocate and reside in a location that is within a commutable distance.

About the qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred At least 15 years of progressive technical HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role Proven track record of developing and implementing People & Culture strategies that drive business results Strong business acumen and ability to align People & Culture initiatives with organizational objectives Demonstrated expertise in all areas of the employee experience cycle specifically talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization Strategic thinker with a hands-on, results-oriented approach to problem-solving Passionate about investing in people leaders to create an engaged, diverse, and inclusive workplace culture

About the day-to-day:

People & Culture Team

Partner with the SVP People & Culture to implement the people strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives. Create and align the strategic priorities for the People & Culture department. Lead the People & Culture team, providing mentorship, coaching, and development opportunities to build a high-performing and cohesive team. Develop resourcing tactics to deliver on strategic people plans associated with organizational goals. Identify and monitor critical KPIs that will ensure the strategy is being implemented and making the desired impact. Work side by side with Business Partners to navigate employee experience matters.

Employee Experience & Engagement

Reinforce positive employee experience and organizational values through influence. Reinforce programs that enhance employee experience, satisfaction, and productivity. Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Foster and support professional development and deliver training programs across functions. Partner with senior leaders to identify leadership development needs. Ensure reward processes are in place to ensure competitiveness, fairness and recognition of high performance. Provide advice, guidance and direction to Business Partners, lead escalations, and employee relations issues.

Talent Acquisition

Enhance attract, hire, and onboarding strategies to secure a high-caliber talent pipeline to deliver on business and culture goals. Lead and direct recruiting activities. Enhance employee brand and impact.

Risk & Compliance

Become an expert on risk & compliance needs in the People & Culture department for a regulated financial institution. Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations. Highlight and elevate key risks to the business and opportunities for improvement. Deliver education for compliance purposes.

Annual Compensation:

Peoples Group is pleased to offer employees a competitive annual salary and discretionary profit share opportunity. Salary for this position will vary between $185,000 and $210,000 per year depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities & experience that the chosen candidate possess. As part of our recruiting process, shortlisted candidates will be asked their salary expectations for this position.
