Job Purpose
The VP of Investor Relations is responsible for the development and execution of the Company’s long term and annual investor relations goals. This is a highly visible role that works alongside the CEO to develop a compelling value creation narrative, while building and fostering strong relationships with the global investment community and execute the company’s award-winning IR program. The VP of IR will take on a key role within the organization to prepare and disclose material news, create brand awareness, and maximize shareholder value. The role will also interact with the C-Suite, as well as external analysts and investors.
This position will also organize and direct the preparation, publication and distribution of the Annual Sustainability report.
Main Responsibilities
· Develop and execute the Company’s long-term and annual investor relations goals, programs, and reports.
· Ensure Endeavour’s news disclosures comply with regulatory laws and policies and are full, plain and timely.
· Work alongside and travel with the CEO and management as needed to execute and fulfil the Company’s strategic goals and plans.
· Supporting the quarterly earnings reporting process by prepare all relevant disclosure including:
o Quarterly news release
o Earnings call script
o Quarterly management and board presentation
o Leading and tracking analyst estimates and research reports to monitor Street expectations and perceptions
· Prepare and oversee all disclosures on and regular updates of the Company’s website, and in all investor materials such as presentations, news releases, social media etc.
· Ensure consistent messaging and branding of communication to the investment community.
· Sustainability oversight including:
o Organize and direct the preparation, publication and distribution of the Annual Sustainability report.
o Oversee progress on the Outward Looking Sustainability Strategy goals and targets
o Build sustainability principles into all levels of operations and across the Company.
Requirements
Experience
· 10+ years managing Investor Relations for public mining companies including financial reporting and financial performance metrics.
· Developing and executing investor relations goals, programs and reports.
· Building relationships in the capital markets (experience with buy-side/ sell -side).
· Working with and managing people.
· Operating and reporting at a senior level.
· Preparing corporate sustainability programs is a plus.
· Working knowledge of ESG Guidelines
Education
- University degree or equivalent.
· Technical and financial training and knowledge of the mining industry.
- Membership and accreditation with Canadian Investor Relations Institute (CIRI) or the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) – Desirable
Skills & Special Knowledge
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills (both oral and written) along with excellent technical skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally.
- Ability to prepare and edit management reports and all investor relations materials.
- Financial analysis skills are a plus.
- People-skilled, service-oriented, organized.
- Strong proficiency in the entire Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint
- Good business acumen
