Job Description:  

As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for assessing project requirements, preparing accurate cost estimates, and collaborating with the project management team to secure electrical contracts. You will play a critical role in our company's success by ensuring that we win projects at competitive prices while maintaining profitability.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to understand project requirements.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate electrical cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes and pricing.
  • Utilize estimating software and tools to streamline the estimating process.
  • Develop and submit bids, proposals, and tender documents in a timely manner.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.
  • Work closely with the project management team to ensure a smooth transition from the estimating phase to project execution.
  • Continuously update and maintain a database of cost information and historical project data.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in electrical estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, materials, and labor costs.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and subcontractors.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in estimating.
  • Knowledge of local electrical codes and regulations is a plus.
