The Opportunity:To successfully set and prepare banquet floor formeetings and functions as specified by event contracts resumes andsupervisors in a congenial friendly helpful and efficientmanner.

In this role youll getto:

  • Have completeknowledge of the hotels events services andfacilities..
  • Ensure prompt and courteousservice is extended both internal and externalcustomers..
  • Maintain an orderly workingenvironment inform manager of anydeficiencies.
  • To carry out tasks as assigned byyour manager or supervisor that pertain to the overall operation ofthe banquet department.
  • To refresh rooms asassigned by your manager or supervisor.
  • To setup and tear down meeting rooms according to the predeterminedstandards of the department and hotel and direction of yourmanager.
  • To ensure guest service excels at alltimes.
  • To ensure guests needs and requirementsare carried out with a helpful and timelymanner.
  • To complete all miscellaneous duties asdirected by your supervisor or manager that pertain to theoperation of the department.
  • To transport allequipment and store in the appropriate storage rooms in a safemanner.
  • Understand and carry out dutiesaccording to all banquet event orders and the instructions for eachevent..
  • Understand all hotel and guestsfunctions to be able to answer any questions made by anyguests..
  • To clean banquet rooms vacuum mop anddust as instructed.
  • Ensure fire exits are cleanand free ofobstructions.

  • Must have anunderstanding of written and spokenEnglish
  • Must be flexible with shift workhours
  • Prior experience andasset
  • Must be able to perform physically underpressure
  • Must be able to handle a hot workingenvironment
  • Must be able to operate lift pushand pull heavy equipment
