Asan Environmental Compliance Officer you will be responsible forensuring that organizations comply with environmental regulationsand standards. Your role will be crucial in monitoringenvironmental practices conducting inspections and promotingsustainable practices within thejurisdiction.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Monitorand enforce compliance with local provincial and federalenvironmental regulations andstandards.
  • Conductinspections and audits of facilities and operations to assessadherence to environmental laws andregulations.
  • Reviewand analyze environmental impact assessments reports and permitapplications to ensure compliance with regulatoryrequirements.
  • Provideguidance and support to organizations and stakeholders onenvironmental regulations best practices and compliancestrategies.
  • Investigateand respond to environmental complaints and violations takingappropriate enforcement actions asneeded.
  • Prepareand maintain detailed reports and documentation related toinspections compliance and enforcementactivities.
  • Collaboratewith other regulatory agencies environmental organizations andcommunity groups to address environmental issues and promotesustainability.
  • Stayupdated on changes in environmental regulations industry trends andbest practices to ensure effective compliance andenforcement.

Requirements
  • Relevantcertification or diploma in Environmental Science EnvironmentalManagement or a relatedfield.
  • Provenexperience as an environmental compliance officer environmentalinspector or in a similar role with a strong understanding ofenvironmental regulations andstandards.
  • Excellentanalytical skills for assessing environmental practices andidentifying complianceissues.
  • Strongcommunication skills for interacting with organizations regulatoryagencies and thepublic.
  • Detailorientedwith strong organizational skills for managing inspections reportsand compliancerecords.
  • Abilityto stay current with evolving environmental regulations industrypractices and sustainabilityinitiatives.
