Trans Mountain Corporation operates Canada’s only pipeline system transporting oil products to the West Coast. Trans Mountain also operates a state-of-the-art loading facility, Westridge Marine Terminal, with three berths providing tidewater access to global markets.

The Supervisor, Pipeline Integrity is responsible for the implementation of field activity under the Pipeline Maintenance and Repair Program, Right of Way Maintenance Program and Capital Projects. The Supervisor has direct oversight of the Region’s Pipeline Maintenance and Pipeline Integrity Technicians and is required to forecast the Region's operating and capital budgets.
This position will be based in either the Burnaby or Sumas office and reports to the Director, Pipeline Maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise Department personnel, provide mentorship and coaching to team, engage with team in Trans Mountain Performance Review Program and Safety Programs. Work with contractors to present scopes of work, review submissions of bids/estimates, arrange site visits, assign designated representatives to projects. Work with Management to outline terms of contractor master services agreements. Represent Trans Mountain when engaging with third-party stakeholders including Landowners, various levels of Government/Regulators, adjacent Utility Providers. Oversee team maintenance, safety, and training management programs to assign of duties/work orders and ensure tasks are completed prior to due dates. Maintain qualifications required to respond to emergency situations under the Trans Mountain Emergency Management program. Submit weekly updates to Leadership outlining schedule and budget milestones. Liaise with other Supervisors, Managers, and Subject Matter Experts to implement and maintain standards and procedures.Qualifications and Professional Experience
Minimum of 10 years of technical experience with the pipeline industry and/or related industrial industry. Experience with or Certification in: Welding, Mechanical Trades (Millwright, Mechanic), NDE Certification (CGSB I), Class 1 Driver’s License, AMPP/NACE CIPII, or Welding Inspection (CWB II) would be considered beneficial. Project Management experience would be an asset. Demonstrated experience in leading staff, providing coaching and mentorship. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others. Ability to work well under pressure and handle strict deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Maintain a high regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets and employees, and the public. In Alberta, the pipeline system spans the traditional territories of Treaty 6, 7 and 8, and the Métis Nation of Alberta (Zone 4).
In British Columbia, the system crosses the traditional territories of numerous First Nations that are affiliated with the Secwepemc, Dakelh (Carrier), Nlaka'pamux, Syilx/Okanagan, Interior and Coast Salish, Stó:lo, as well as the Métis.
Trans Mountain also operates through 15 First Nation Reserves located within the region spanning the BC interior through Fraser Valley.
