Responsibilities:
Assigndaily duties to operators and assist in planning productionschedules and staffingrequirements.
Troubleshootproduction issues to minimize downtime and maintainefficiency.
Provide training to operators onsafety equipment handling Standard Operating Procedures and companypolicies.
Inspect machinery for cleanlinesssafety and proper setup before productionbegins.
Maintain housekeeping and sanitationstandards within the production area.
Identifyopportunities for process improvements to increaseefficiency.
Collaborate with peers subordinatesand other departments to achieve commongoals.
Review and suggest improvements formanufacturing and packagingdocumentation.
Approve labor reports and manageemployee overtime submissions.
Monitor equipmentand facilities issuing work orders for necessary maintenance andensuring timely completion ofrepairs.
Participate in employee evaluations anddisciplinary actions.
Manage inventory of tablettooling spare parts and materials.
Ensure allingredients are present according to the manufacturing formulabefore production starts.
Escalate any issuesduring production with recommendations forsolutions.
Ensure compliance with StandardOperating Procedures and Health & SafetyPolicies.
Qualifications:
Threeyears of supervisory experience in the pharmaceutical industryspecifically in tablet compression and coating or a related degreein a science field.
Experience managing unionizedemployees is a plus.
Proficiency in computerskills and knowledge of GMP and WHMISregulations.
Strong problemsolving abilities andexcellent communication skills.
Ability to workindependently and within a teamenvironment.
Experience in validation processesis anasset.
