On behalf of our client, one of Canada’s largest banks and one of the largest banks in the world by market capitalization, Equality Street is looking for a Digital Analytics Developer (Google Marketing Platform) to add to their Digital Data & Analytics team.

Joining the Digital Data & Analytics team as a Digital Analytics Developer, you will have the opportunity to provide best-practices recommendations regarding tagging and the implementation of web analytics, and deploy and develop customized technical solutions to enable the implementation of digital analytics platforms.

 

This is a contract role with an immediate start for 12 months with high chance to be extended.

Location: Toronto, ON (hybrid – 3-4 days/week on-site)

 

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

·         Work with internal clients (stakeholders) to understand their business objectives and translate into analytics integration and technology strategy and requirements

·         Provide technical support to internal teams around analytics tagging, data validation and data integration

·         Develop and modify JavaScript code to execute data collection

·         Oversee the implementation and usage of the Digital Analytics Platform to collect data required by Digital Product Owners, various lines of business and other stakeholders

·         Define analytics QA and testing activities to ensure accurate and efficient data collection

·         Validate and debug analytics implementation issues

·         Setup and maintain multiple tag management and analytics accounts

·         Guide key stakeholders in the appropriate implementation and validation of new tagging requirements and fixes, and ensure existing tracking remains intact

·         Act as key technical support for internal users of Tag Management System and Digital Analytics Platform, troubleshooting and dealing with Vendor Support teams when required

 



Requirements

Position requirements:

·         2-3 years front end web development experience (JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, HTML) coupled with solid experience implementing web and advertising analytics

·         Experience with Google Marketing Platform - Google Tag Manager, or other Tag Management tools

·         Web Analytics understanding (Most important KPIs)

·         Deep understanding of JavaScript events and jQuery custom events necessary, and best practices for JavaScript coding

·         Debugging techniques and tools for front end web development

·         Project Tracking software experience like Jira, etc.
